Location: Staines, UK
Salary: £75,000–£85,000 per annum

Reporting to: Operations Director

About the Role:
My client is seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to oversee and manage all tenders and enquiries. The successful candidate will ensure that all tenders are completed on time and to the required standard. Managing client expectations and facilitating smooth handovers to our project delivery team upon project award are key aspects of this role. Additionally, the Estimating Manager will provide technical support to the delivery team, contributing to the successful execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure timely and high-quality submission of bids.

*

Monitor and report on the progress of each bid against agreed programmes.

*

Review technical solutions to ensure cost-efficient submissions.

*

Coordinate and prepare bid submissions, including technical responses and staffing structures.

*

Prepare meeting schedules and coordinate design and construction teams.

*

Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new clients.

*

Provide coaching and mentoring to engineers within your area of expertise.

*

Offer technical advice and guidance within your domain.

*

Contribute to departmental meetings and support business goals.

Requirements:

*

Strong understanding and technical knowledge in commercial fit-out, passive fire protection, and the electrical industry.

*

Proven experience in a customer-facing role with a track record of building client relationships.

*

Ability to understand and produce estimates and tenders.

*

Skilled in scrutinizing supplier and subcontractor quotations for compliance with specifications.

*

Proficient in reading drawings and design specifications.

*

Evidence of continued professional development.

*

Demonstrated management skills with the ability to lead and manage individual performance.

*

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

*

Competent in Microsoft Office programmes and estimation software.

*

Ability to produce management reports, key performance indicators, and financial data to demonstrate service delivery and improvement.

Qualifications:

*

Relevant industry qualifications.

*

Minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior role.

*

Bidding/sales experience.

*

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

*

Established relationships with clients are a plus.
