ERP Product Owner (Interim)
£700- 850 p/d Inside IR35
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced ERP Product Owner to join our client for a system implementation project. As the ERP Product Owner, you will be responsible for defining, prioritizing, and managing the product backlog for the ERP system implementation. You will act as the liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring that the ERP system meets the needs of the organization and delivers maximum value.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Vision and Strategy:
Define the product vision and strategy for the ERP system implementation, aligning it with the overall goals and objectives of the organization.
Develop a deep understanding of business processes and requirements, translating them into clear product goals and objectives.
Backlog Management:
Create and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that it reflects the needs and priorities of the business.
Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, refine user stories, and define acceptance criteria.
Continuously groom the backlog, ensuring that it is up-to-date and aligned with changing business needs.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, gathering feedback, and communicating updates on the ERP system implementation.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, facilitate workshops, and ensure that their needs are adequately represented in the product backlog.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and project management, to ensure the successful delivery of the ERP system.
Collaborate with the development team to prioritize and refine user stories, resolve issues, and ensure that deliverables meet quality standards.
Release Planning and Execution:
Participate in release planning and sprint planning sessions, providing input on feature prioritization and scope.
Monitor progress against release plans, identifying risks and dependencies, and taking proactive measures to address them.
Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts, ensuring that business stakeholders are engaged and that UAT results are incorporated into the product backlog.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, with a focus on ERP systems.
Strong understanding of ERP concepts and best practices, with experience implementing ERP systems in a complex organizational environment.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Solid organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, with a strong understanding of Agile principles and practices.
