With planning approval secured and government financing in place, the SZC Project is set to become a cornerstone of Britain's energy policy, providing dependable electricity to millions of homes for decades to come.Job Purpose / Overview:We are seeking a Site Environmental Advisor to join the Sizewell C Delivery Construction Team. As an Environmental Advisor, you'll be part of a dedicated team ensuring that all environmental and sustainability aspects of the project are managed effectively. Collaborating with our Tier 1 Partners, you'll drive environmental performance and ensure compliance with regulatory consents and permits.Principal Accountabilities:Conducting site inspections, identifying environmental issues, and reporting observations promptly.Providing expert advice on environmental legislation, permits, and planning constraints.Reviewing contractor's environmental management plans to ensure compliance with regulations and project standards.Supporting self-assessment and internal audits to ensure adherence to legislation and best practices.Leading investigations of environmental incidents and recommending preventive measures.Identifying contractual issues and escalating them appropriately.Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience:Previous experience in an Environmental Management role on a construction or industrial project.In-depth knowledge of UK environmental legislation relevant to construction or industrial installations.Understanding of the client/contractor relationship and legal responsibilities under relevant regulations.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.Degree or equivalent qualification in environmental or related discipline.Experience with environmental management systems conforming to recognised standards.If you're passionate about environmental sustainability and ready to take on a challenging yet rewarding role, we want to hear from you.
