Due to internal promotions and exciting uplifting in production, we are expanding our Engineering team to meet growing demands and take on even more ambitious projects. We are looking for an exceptional Engineering Team Leader to guide and mentor our talented Engineers, helping us deliver innovative, high-quality solutions that make a difference.
L ocation - Ashbourne
Job Type - Full-Time
Contract - Permanent
Working Hours - 4 on 4 off (days and nights)
Position Summary :
As an Engineering Team Leader, you will lead the on shift Multi Skilled Engineers to optimise site Engineering performance and deliver outstanding operational support through breakdown reduction, PPM and process improvement whilst ensuring compliance to the company's objectives to meet Production requirements and maintenance standards.
Key Responsibilities :
lead and support a small team of engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, safety and continuous improvement
oversee and enhance production processes to increase efficiency, minimize downtime, and maintain product quality
ensure all operations adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices for food safety
provide technical expertise to resolve production an maintenance issues quickly and effectively
work closely with other departments to align on goals, project requirements, and continuous improvement efforts
You will need :
Level 3 City & Guilds or equivilant Electrical/Mechanical and or Electronic engineering
All qualifications must be recognised in the UK
up to date knowledge about processing equipment and techniques
understanding of engineering and operational processes and standards
understanding of GMP, H&S, Environment
short shelf-life/chilled/frozen knowledge - desirable
strong, practical food engineering and food manufacturing experience
ability to motivate and lead a team
good communicator
flexible approach to work
high degree of integrity, hard working and organised
