Electrician

FM Search & Select Ltd are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our team, working on a variety of domestic properties across Edinburgh and the East of Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and skilled professional to work within a growing and supportive team, delivering high-quality maintenance services to a wide range of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out electrical maintenance, fault finding, and repairs in domestic properties

*

Undertake testing, inspection, and certification in line with regulations

*

Diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently and safely

*

Liaise with tenants, homeowners, and colleagues to ensure clear communication and customer satisfaction

*

Ensure all works are completed in line with current electrical regulations and health & safety guidelines

*

Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used

*

Respond to reactive callouts and support planned maintenance schedules

Requirements:

*

Recognised electrical qualification (e.g., SVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, etc.)

*

Proven experience in electrical maintenance in domestic environments

*

Good working knowledge of current electrical regulations and standards

*

Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

*

Full UK driving licence

*

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Desirable:

*

Experience with EICRs and remedial works

*

Additional building maintenance experience (basic plumbing, joinery, etc.) is a plus

*

ECS Card or equivalent
