We have a new vacancy for an E&I Quality Inspector to join us on the MEH Alliance working on the Hinkley Point C construction project.
Main Responsibilities:
Perform inspections in accordance with the ITP (Inspection and Test Plan).
Liaise with client’s representative for conducting of day to day inspection during the construction activities.
Ensure installation of equipment is in compliance with ECS Code, drawings, vendor and code requirements with respect to; material, alignment, etc.
Assist QC manager and Area Leads in executing their responsibilities.
Maintaining LTQR’s as required during inspections ensuring all signatures on LTQR and ITP during inspection.
Updating SONIM register as required.
Champion Foreign Material Exclusion, preventing ingress or entrapment of non-specified materials, loose items or debris in equipment and /or systems during assembly and testing.
Requirements:
Qualifications in Electrical/Electronics/instrumentation, ONC / HNC / HND (or equivalent experience).
Substantial experience of Quality Control during the installation, inspection and testing of electrical and instrument systems associated with process plant during construction and operation to include; motors, pumps, transformers, DBs, cabling, electronic and pneumatic equipment, analogue and digital control systems, relay based and solid state logic systems, transmitters, control valves, etc.
We are able to offer a competitive salary with generous uplift and allowances for working away from home where required.

We are working across both Hinkley Point C units to deliver the infrastructure that will power the station and its operations, creating 1,000 jobs including many specialist engineers. Works include the design and installation of circa 76,000 cables totalling over 3,000km in length; over 180km of cable containment support systems; fire and environmental sealing; design and installation of earthing systems, and specialist packages associated with data acquisition and plant control.
