Electrical Engineer – Energy Infrastructure | Airport Scheme
Location: [Gatwick]
Salary: £51,000 – £62,500, car or allowance + Package (DOE)
The Role
We’re looking for an Electrical Engineer to support the technical delivery of key electrical systems in the airport’s decentralised energy programme. The project will run until 2030, an opportunity for continuity of employment on a key and high profile project, one for the CV!
Key Responsibilities:

Manage technical reviews, electrical design input, and site coordination.

Interface with HV/LV infrastructure, lighting systems, containment, and BMS.
*
Assist with procurement schedules and ensure timely delivery of materials.
*
Support site inspections, QA processes, and commissioning plans.
*
Attend design and coordination meetings.
*
Monitor subcontractor performance and resolve site-based technical queries.
*
Ensure compliance with electrical standards and project specifications.
*
Report to the Electrical Project Manager.
What We’re Looking For:
*
Degree or HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering.
*
Experience with airport, infrastructure, or large-scale commercial schemes.
*
Knowledge of electrical building services and distribution systems.
*
Good understanding of testing, commissioning, and handover processes.
*
ECS/CSCS essential; SSSTS/SMSTS desirable.
*
Team-focused, reliable, and technically proficient.
*
Strong written and verbal communication
