Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers (Mechanical & Electrical Bias)

Salary: £42,000 £48,000 per annum (inclusive of shift allowance)
Shifts: Rotating AM/PM Shifts

About the Role:
We are working on behalf of our client, a leading manufacturer in the FMCG sector , to recruit two skilled Maintenance Engineers one with a mechanical bias and one with an electrical bias to join their dynamic team. These roles are pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of a high-volume, fast-paced, and automated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct both reactive and planned maintenance on a variety of machinery, including packaging machines, palletising equipment, conveyors, motors, drives, gearboxes, and rollers.
Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to equipment upgrades.
Collaborate with the engineering team to enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), currently at 7879%.
Engage in root cause analysis to identify and address recurring issues.
Shift Pattern:
Week 1: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM 2:30 PM
Week 2: Monday to Thursday, 1:30 PM 10:30 PM; Friday, 1:30 PM 8:00 PM
Candidate Profile:
Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in an FMCG or similar fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Proficient in handling mechanical components such as chains, bearings, gearboxes, and rollers.
Skilled in electrical fault-finding, with familiarity in Siemens and Allen Bradley control systems (PLC programming not required).
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance.
