Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Drive Innovation in Heavy Industry
Location: Dudley – Two Manufacturing Plants
Day Shift | 40 Hours + Flexibility
Are you an electrically-biased engineer with a passion for proactive problem-solving, continuous improvement, and ensuring plant reliability?
Our client is a market leader in high-performance ductile iron and steel castings, is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to maintain and enhance the electrical infrastructure of their two production plants. You’ll be a key part of the engineering team, ensuring operational excellence across a demanding and dynamic environment.
What You’ll Do:

Diagnose and resolve faults across heavy manufacturing equipment
*
Install, test, and repair electrical control systems (including 3-phase power and AC/DC)
*
Lead preventative maintenance projects and equipment reliability upgrades
*
Work from PLC/LADDER diagrams and electrical schematics
*
Contribute to plant optimisation, safety culture, and continuous improvement
You’ll Need:
*
Apprentice-trained with City & Guilds Level 3 (17th edition) or equivalent
*
Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, PLCs, and control panels
*
Experience in industrial or heavy manufacturing (foundry preferred)
*
IPAF certified (MEWP)
*
Ability to read circuit and LADDER diagrams
*
Organised, proactive, and safety-first mindset
Desirable Extras:
*
Siemens S7 or CAM programming knowledge
*
Confined space and working at height training
*
Forklift/crane/slinging certification
*
First Aid or Fire Safety training
