Electrical Estimator

We Build Recruitment are now looking to hire a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team.

Our client is a long established electrical contractor based in Greater Manchester with over 20 years experience in electrical installation projects within Healthcare, Commercial, Education and Industrial sectors

Key Responsibilities:

* Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.

* Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.

* Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and contractors to develop competitive bids.

* Analyze project requirements and identify risks, assumptions, and missing information.

* Perform quantity take-offs using manual or digital methods (e.g. Trimble).

* Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes.

* Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits, as required.

* Maintain and update a database of pricing, historical data, and subcontractor information.

* Support value engineering efforts and alternative bid proposals.

* Provide technical support and clarification during the handover to the project delivery team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Proven experience as an electrical estimator in the construction or related industry.

* Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and installation practices.
