EMBS Engineering Ltd is working in partnership with a leading precision engineering manufacturer, located near Redditch that is currently in the market for a Machine Setter/ Operator (Wire EDM) to join their company on a permanent basis.
This market leader is a well-established entity within the precision engineering industries and boasts a rich history of supporting globally recognised customers with safety-critical, highly complex components.

* Competitive salary: £14 to £15 per hour plus £2.60 shift allowance
* Hours: Monday to Wednesday 4.30pm to 2.30am, Thursday 4.30pm to 1.30am with permanent Fridays off
Your responsibilities will include:
* Operate and control EDM machines and other equipment in the area, following relevant procedures.
* Read and understand CNC machine code to the level necessary for machine setup and operation.
* Comprehend setup parameters and their impact on the machining process, including datum setting and tool length and wear offsets.
* Set up machines with the appropriate work holding and tooling, adhering to relevant procedures.
* Perform machining operations efficiently as per Job Card instructions to meet required output levels.
Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:
* Able to operate EDM machines / Electro Discharge machines / Laser machines / Plasma machines / Electron Beam Machines / CNC Machines or similar equipment.
* Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
** Full training on EDM machines will be provided for candidates with a strong machining background **
