Early Years Teaching Assistant

We are working with an Ofsted rated good primary school in Northampton. The school is looking to appoint a caring and motivated Early Years Teaching Assistant to support young learners during this crucial stage of development.

About the Role:

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting children aged 3-5 as they explore, grow, and learn through play and structured activities. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) lessons

Supporting children in small groups and one-to-one, including those with additional needs

Helping with routines such as snack time, toileting, and outdoor play

Promoting positive behaviour and creating a safe, inclusive learning environment

Observing and recording children's progress to support their development

Requirements:

A genuine passion for working with young children

Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting

A proactive, flexible, and patient approach

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
