Job Title - Design and Technology Teacher
Tradewind Recruitment is working on behalf of an SEN School searching Part-Time Design and Technology Teacher to join from September 2025.
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and engage students with additional learning needs through hands-on, practical DT lessons. You will work collaboratively with a team of experienced SEN professionals to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to meet individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging DT lessons suited to a range of abilities and learning styles
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
Use adaptive teaching techniques to support pupils with diverse SEN profiles (including ASD, MLD, and SEMH)
Collaborate with teaching assistants and wider school staff to ensure holistic student development
Assess progress and maintain accurate records in line with school policy
We Are Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Design & Technology, ideally within an SEN or inclusive setting
Patience, creativity, and a flexible approach to teaching
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A genuine commitment to supporting the development of young people with special educational needs
