π Your Role
As a Design and Technology (Textiles) Teacher, you will:

Teach inspiring Design and Technology (Textiles) lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students to develop both technical and creative skills

Deliver a curriculum focused on textiles techniques such as pattern making, sewing, fabric manipulation, and design processes
*
Create a positive and dynamic learning environment where students are encouraged to explore their creativity and develop their ideas from concept to finished product
*
Work closely with a dedicated department team to plan and deliver a broad, engaging curriculum
*
Provide constructive feedback and assessments to help students make progress and feel proud of their achievements
*
Contribute to extracurricular activities, such as design exhibitions, fashion shows, and creative school events
*
Foster a classroom culture that values experimentation, creativity, and independent thinking

What Weβre Looking For
We are looking for an enthusiastic Design and Technology (Textiles) Teacher who:
*
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or will have QTS by September 2025
*
Has a degree in Design and Technology, Fashion/Textiles, or a related field, with a strong understanding of textiles techniques and design
*
Is passionate about teaching Design and Technology (Textiles) and committed to inspiring students at all levels
*
Demonstrates excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills
*
Is motivated to continue developing professionally, with a strong commitment to growth, whether you are an ECT or an experienced teacher
