Our Outstanding school in the vibrant borough of Barking, London, seeks a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Teacher of Design Technology to join our thriving Technology department from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to focus your passion for design and making within a full-time role in a high-achieving school serving the Barking community.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and effective Design Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially 5, in our Barking school.
* Fostering students' creativity, problem-solving skills, and understanding of design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes relevant to the Barking region.
* Contributing to the school's extracurricular DT provision and projects.
* Collaborating effectively with colleagues within the Technology department.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* A degree in Design Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
* Successful experience teaching Design Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, with experience in Key Stage 5 being advantageous.
