As a DT ECT, you’ll:

Teach a range of DT topics at KS3 and KS4, including product design and resistant materials
*
Support students through practical assessments and design portfolios
*
Contribute to extra-curricular opportunities such as design clubs and STEM competitions
*
Work closely with a collaborative team to embed sustainability and innovation into projects
ECT support includes:
*
Structured induction and weekly mentor meetings
*
Regular CPD on both subject knowledge and pedagogy
*
Observation and coaching by experienced DT staff
*
Dedicated time for lesson planning and curriculum development
What we’re looking for:

QTS (or on track by July 2025)

A degree in Design Technology or a relevant subject

Practical skills and a passion for making

Commitment to inclusive, student-centred learning

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
