Overview

We are recruiting for a skilled Draughtsperson / Technical Designer to join a respected joinery and interiors company. This role requires strong experience in 2D and 3D CAD, with a hands-on understanding of joinery and shopfloor practices.

The Role

As the Draughtsperson, you’ll be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and models for a variety of bespoke joinery projects including teapoints, coat cupboards, print/copy points, wall panelling, banquette seating, and reception desks.

You’ll collaborate closely with the production team to ensure designs are practical and precise, supporting seamless manufacturing and installation.

Key Responsibilities

Produce accurate 2D technical drawings and 3D CAD models from concept through to manufacture.

Work alongside joinery and workshop teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet client requirements.

*

Revise and update drawings as projects progress, incorporating feedback from site and production.

*

Present completed drawings for client approval and production sign-off.

*

Maintain clear documentation and organise drawing files efficiently.

Requirements

Essential:

*

Proven experience in 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent).

*

Experience producing technical drawings specifically for joinery or bespoke interiors.

*

Practical knowledge of joinery processes and shopfloor operations.

*

Ability to provide clear examples of previous technical drawing work.

*

Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

Desirable:

*

Formal CAD or design qualification.

*

Experience with client liaison and site surveys.

*

Background in bespoke furniture or interior fit-outs.
