On our team, you’ll have the support to excel at work and the resources to build a career you can be proud of.The Director, Global Mobility, reporting into the SVP, Total Rewards, will have oversight of the entire global mobility function across the enterprise. They will be responsible and accountable for the leadership and operational aspects of all mobility programmes and their effectiveness across the business. They will be responsible for selecting and managing vendors for the business and be involved in potential negotiations. They will also have overall responsibility for putting in place effective mobility policy, practices and guidelines to support talent mobility and will manage a team of one.What you’ll do on a typical day:Leads the Global mobility department, acting as a coach and strategic advisor to the business to facilitate talent movement Build GXO’s global mobility policy, guidelines and practices. Devise and implement changes where requiredBrings in tools and systems to ensure the management of mobility cases are simple and efficient and in compliance with different regulatory and tax environmentsResponsible for vendor selection and management, nurturing and strengthening relationshipsEnsure compliance with tax, including corporate tax, social security and immigration matters associated with international assignment processesEffectively drives the management and reduction of costs without compromising the quality of the assignment processMonitor and analyse global mobility trends and anticipate any future developments that may be relevant, recommending and implementing changes where necessaryMaintain the management of all data, ensuring that the data is kept safe and processed appropriatelyPartners with Compensation teams to build mobility cost estimates to inform decision makingPartners with the GXO University teams to build capabilities regarding mobility requirements and opportunitiesActs as the single point of contact and liaison amongst internal parties (tax, legal, HR) to build mobility scenarios, budgets and proposals to ensure success. Leads mobility resources, making sure the mobility teams are functioning, they may also handle high level escalationsWhat you need to succeed at in this role at GXO:A proven track record of building and leading global mobility functions in blue chip organisationsExperience in supporting multiple locations and/or markets in a global organization.Experience in managing Executive expatriate assignments and Executives that regularly commute internationally.Experience in developing processes and international policies and practicesA demonstrated effectiveness of building capabilities regarding policies and practices, specifically articulating, presenting and educating senior executives in the topicUnderstanding of international assignment tax and social security compliance is beneficial for this role.Experience in creating structure where needed is essential for this role.BA in Business, Administration, HR or any other related fieldGlobal mobility trainings / certifications or subject matter expertise gained through experience Pay, benefits and more.We are eager to attract the best, so we offer competitive compensation and a generous benefits package.
