About the Design Technology Teacher Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design Technology Teacher to join our dedicated team. The successful Design Technology Teacher will have the opportunity to teach Design Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students with engaging lessons and hands-on projects.

Responsibilities of the Design Technology Teacher:

* Plan and deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.

* Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment where students can explore their creativity and develop their practical skills in Design Technology.

* Assess and monitor student progress in Design Technology, providing constructive feedback and support.

* Contribute to the development of the Design Technology curriculum and departmental resources.

* Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Design Technology and incorporate new technologies into the classroom.

* Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards of Design Technology teaching.

* Actively close gaps in attainment and achievement between pupils and all groups of pupils.

* Monitor and promote the involvement of all groups of pupils in the extra-curricular life of the school.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

* A degree in Design & Technology or a related field.

* Experience teaching Design & Technology at the secondary level.

* A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Design & Technology.

* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.

* A passion for Design & Technology and a commitment to inspiring students.
