Role & Responsibilities
Design architectural, secondary, and structural steelwork to meet client specifications using structural engineers' input
Liaise with internal departments, clients, and engineers to resolve technical issues and ensure timely, cost-effective solutions
Produce all drawings for design approvals, including 3D renders where required
Generate fabrication drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM)
Conduct site surveys as needed
Attend client design meetings
Manage workload across multiple live projects
Carry out general drawing office administration when requiredIdeal Skills & Experience
Previous design experience within fabrication or structural steelwork
Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D & 3D is essential
Proficient with IT and Auto CAD/Solid Works systems
Adaptability and willingness to embrace change
Strong time management and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to engage with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams
