We are currently recruiting for a Data Infrastructure Project Manager. This role involves managing the installation of various systems including data cables, fibre cabling, CCTV, Access Control Systems, and PA Systems, within industrial, commercial, and other key environments.
Job Description:
As a Data Infrastructure Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation and delivery of data infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required technical standards. This role will involve managing all aspects of the installation process, liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams, and ensuring full compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the installation of data cables, fibre cabling, CCTV, Access Control Systems, and PA Systems for industrial, commercial, and other projects.
• Oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to specification, and within budget.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure clear communication and effective project delivery.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and effective resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations in data cabling, security systems, and related infrastructure.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the installation process, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to ensure that installations meet project specifications and requirements.
• Prepare and submit progress reports, project updates, and necessary documentation.
• Ensure health and safety protocols are followed on-site, adhering to industry standards.
Key Requirements:
• Proven experience in project management, specifically in the installation of data cables, fibre optic cabling, CCTV, Access Control Systems, and PA Systems.
• In-depth knowledge of data infrastructure and security system installations.
• Strong project management skills, with experience overseeing large-scale installations from start to finish.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources efficiently.
• Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations for data infrastructure and security systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and teams.
• Experience in leading and managing teams to deliver projects effectively.
• A technical background with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and designs.
• Relevant qualifications in project management, electrical engineering, or data infrastructure.
Desirable Qualifications:
• NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification.
• HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering, Data Infrastructure, or related fields.
• Experience with fibre optic cabling installation and network design.
• Project Management Certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP).
• Knowledge of security systems including CCTV and Access Control
