Job Title: Cyber Security Project Manager
Defence Sector
Location: Hybrid (On-site MOD location + Remote working)
Clearance Required: DV Clearance (Mandatory)
Contract Length: 6 Months
IR35 Status: Outside IR35
Rate: £700–£800 per day (DOE)
Overview: We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Project Manager to lead the delivery of secure digital transformation initiatives within a high-security MOD environment. You will manage the full project lifecycle across infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud capability projects supporting national defence objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Coordinate secure migration projects involving protectively marked data and legacy systems.
  • Oversee project planning, risk management, governance, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with cyber and security policies across the full project lifecycle.
  • Liaise with senior MOD stakeholders and external partners to drive project success.
  • Support procurement, service transition, and contractor oversight as part of project delivery.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Active DV clearance is essential.
  • Demonstrable experience managing cyber and secure infrastructure projects in MOD, Defence or Government environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, Agile, SAFe).
  • Proven track record delivering cloud-based, data migration, or infrastructure transformation programmes.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience reporting at a senior level.
  • Understanding of cyber risk management frameworks and secure working environments.
Desirable Experience:
  • Background in working with secure cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, private/on-prem environments).
  • Relevant certifications: ITIL, Scrum Master, AWS/Azure, or cyber security qualifications.
This will be a two-stage interview process with a target start date of May. The role is a 6-month initial contract with the potential to extend.
The position is OUTINSIDE IR35, hybrid (3 days a week on-site)
