We are currently recruiting for Cover Supervisors to work on a supply basis within Secondary School s, with the potential opportunity for short and long term roles as well as day to day supply .
Role Overview and Key Responsibilities :
Your role will be to supervise classes across Key Stage 3 and 4, during the absence of the assigned teacher, taking the register, delivering set work, and ensuring pupil understanding of the tasks which have been set. You will also need to manage students behaviour in line with the schools behaviour policy, ensuring that students are on task and manage any immediate problems according to school procedures.
Promoting good behaviour / managing challenging behaviour
Aiding pupils in their learning as effectively as possible
Helping children with additional educational needs
Friendly, positive, and pro-active attitude
Ability to use initiative
Good organisational skills
Person specification:
A passion for education and a desire to make a difference in students lives.
Excellent communication skills.
Reliable and punctual.
Confidently able to work individually and tak e initiative
Previous experience in a similar role
A relevant qualification is desirable (Education, childcare, health & social care, psychology, SEN, safeguarding etc)
