A Cover Supervisor is needed in a Secondary School & Sixth Form in East London.

This Cover Supervisor position can be part or full time, depending on the availability of work.

Standard responsibilities for this Cover Supervisor post will include but not be limited to:

* Setting up lessons for classes where there is no Teacher
* Ensuring pupils are focusing on the set work and managing their behaviour effectively
* Recording the general progress of the classes for handovers
* Tidying classrooms after lessons end and arriving promptly to the next class

The rates of pay for this Cover Supervisor role will range from £82.14 to £130 a day, depending on each applicants qualifications and experience.

The School

A Coeducational Secondary Free School & Sixth Form, located between the London Boroughs of Newham and Tower Hamlets.

A heavy focus is placed on Grammar at the school.

Students are entered in to GCSE and EPQ qualifications.

From Year 7 to Year 11, all pupils learn the 3 Core Sciences, English, Maths, Ethics and Sports.

At 6th Form level, all pupils must take up a Maths and Science course. They must then choose two more subjects from Philosophy, Economics, Humanities, Latin, English Literature or Art. The reason for this is because the school wants to produce future scientists, medics and engineers.

Currently the school is split across two different sites, with one acting as the main site for lower school and the other acting as the upper school site.

Requirements

You're encouraged to apply if you're a recent Graduate or experienced Cover Supervisor.

Applications are also welcome if you're a British trained Cover Supervisor or overseas trained Cover Supervisor.

All applicants must have the following criteria in order to be considered for this position as a Cover Supervisor:

* Right to work in the UK
* UK Degree or equivalent
* Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
* Experience of working with children/young people or as a Cover Supervisor in UK Secondary schools
