As a Council Tax Officer, you will be responsible for delivering effective and efficient income assessment and council tax collection services as part of Enfield Council's Assessment Hub.
Key responsibilities include:
Handling the assessment and determination of income-related benefits and other reductions
Managing complex council tax collection and enforcement matters
Providing high-quality written and verbal customer service support
Responding to queries and guiding customers through assessment and collection procedures
Maintaining accurate records of all customer interactions and case updates
Working closely with other departments and external agencies to resolve issues
Supporting continuous service improvement and automation initiativesTHE CANDIDATE
To be successful in this role, you must have previous experience working in a council tax, financial assessment, or similar local authority role.
You should also possess:
A strong track record in delivering council tax collection or financial assessment services
Experience with income-related benefit claims and change of circumstances
