Consultant / Senior Exploration Geologist

From a Cardiff base you would be required to operate on a number of projects globally and on a variety of commodities and deposit types. Part of this work will involve you travelling overseas to conduct a variety of geological tasks in the field on client’s projects, collecting data and observations. Such travel may be with colleagues or solo, dependant on experience. Consultants can expect to periodically spend extended periods in the field (up to 4 weeks), sometimes in challenging climates and conditions, often with limited communication.

Main Technical Responsibilities:
The work involved in undertaking this role may include the following activities, as well as other responsibilities as required:
Following up on enquiries, writing proposals and participating in client meetings.
Assisting in the strategy / design and implementation of grassroots exploration projects. This will involve researching regional- and deposit-scale geology, map creation and data analysis.
Participating in the design and implementation of exploration and resource drilling programmes.
Contributing to independent technical reporting deliverables including formal reports such as NI43-101 and JORC CPRs.
