Are you an outstanding Consultant Psychiatrist looking for new challenges, career development and a competitive salary?We have an excellent full time opportunity at our brand new hospital opening Summer 2024, Cygnet Kenney House. This role is due to start in October 2024.Kenney House is going to be a 40 bedded unit in Oldham, primarily we are opening 2 of the 3 wards - the PICU and the Acute services, the 3rd will open later - Rehab Services. All 3 wards will be for Adult females. The service is being designed in line with the Standards of excellence set out by the Royal College of Psychiatry and we will be striving for accreditation through their review process.This role will be working on our Female PICU Ward, which will support up to 13 inpatients.In this role, your expertise will be the driving force for life-changing treatment - fully supported by a Specialty Doctor and first-class multidisciplinary team.And you'll have the opportunity to progress to Medical Director level through our management schemes.At Cygnet, our perks go way beyond pension schemes and excellent professional development.You'll also enjoy shopping, travel and leisure discounts - as well as a range of healthcare and financial benefits - to support you to be happy both in and out of work.Your role responsibilities...Work as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT)Take overall responsibility for patient treatment plans in conjunction with the MDTAssess referrals & undertake mental state examinations of service usersUndertake appropriate investigations, diagnosis & treatmentParticipate in ward rounds & clinical auditsLead the implementation of risk assessment, risk management & embed clinical governanceSupervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals & managers' hearings & attend hearingsParticipate in the 1 in 6/7 telephone on-call rotaWhy Cygnet?
