Our leading client are currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join their dynamic team in the industrial sector located in Teesside. This role will require you to oversee and direct multiple multidisciplinary construction projects from their concept phase through to completion and startup.
Position Responsibilities:
- Food and Bervage imdustry experience
- Plan, manage, and oversee various construction projects including civils, mechanicals, utilities, machinery, and electricals.
- Manage the construction process on-site, handle unforeseen delays, and supervise all activity to meet project milestones.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, local government officials for permits and licenses, contractors, and clients.
- Engage in stakeholder management with industrial clients, vendors, contractors, and external organizations.
- Actively contribute to the team by achieving related outcomes as needed.
- Review projects thoroughly to schedule deliverables and estimate costs effectively.
- Implement measures to lessen the effects of schedule and scope changes.
- Inspect and review projects to ensure compliance with building, safety codes, and regulations.
- Ensure both on-site and off-site construction meet all safety regulation standards.
- Monitor contract performance and report on conditions.
- Evaluate work progress daily and prepare status reports.
- Anticipate problems and find resolutions to emerging issues.
- Negotiate contracts and manage change processes during construction.
- Analyze, manage, and mitigate project risks.
- Enforce quality construction standards and proper construction techniques.
- Ensure the use of appropriate construction methodologies and provide technical support.
- Implement, update, and ensure compliance with relevant management systems.
- Develop the Construction Phase Plan and guarantee proper approvals before site activities.
- Incorporate constructability reviews into all projects where necessary.
- Comply with and enforce all legal regulations and safety standards.
- Direct and manage workers and subcontractors effectively to meet project outcomes.
- Maintain high-quality workmanship and carry out regular material inspections.
Key Knowledge Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of construction management experience, with at least 3 years in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Strategic mindset with an ability to manage complex situations.
- Competent in conflict and crisis management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of construction practices, materials, and project management principles.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient with MS Office and 2D/3D CAD systems.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

- Flexibility for travel and relocation for the duration of projects.
