We're recruiting for a Configuration Lead to join the Sizewell C project team - a once-in-a-generation megaproject that's reshaping Britain's energy future. As the Configuration Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring that robust configuration control is established and maintained across our Site Delivery and Civil Works Programmes. This role sits within the Technical Directorate and involves strong stakeholder engagement, strategic oversight, and real influence in shaping the configuration strategy on one of the UK's most complex infrastructure builds.
Principal Accountabilities
* Lead and implement project-wide configuration management plans and strategies tailored to programme needs
* Drive the application of change control, configuration item identification, and configuration status accounting
* Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, document control, and information management teams
* Oversee configuration audits, reviews, and reports to ensure integrity and traceability of project data
* Coach and guide programme stakeholders to embed best-practice Configuration Management behaviours
* Administer and continuously improve CM processes and tools, ensuring compliance with industry standards
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Has extensive experience delivering Configuration Management on major infrastructure or engineering programmes
* Understands the unique requirements of regulated sectors (such as nuclear, defence, aerospace, rail)
* Can interpret complex engineering documentation and procedures
* Has a strategic, detail-oriented mindset with a pragmatic approach to standards such as ISO 10007, EIA 649, or Def Stan 05-57
* Builds strong relationships across technical and delivery teams, supporting effective implementation of CM principles
Preferred Experience
* Experience working on nuclear projects, especially in new build environments
* Familiarity with engineering datasets and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools
* CM certification (e.g. CM2) or equivalent professional recognition
* Degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
