Computer Science Teacher – Key Stage 3 & 4

Salary: £140 - £190 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: Easter Term 2025

Are you a passionate and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher ready to inspire the next generation of digital innovators? GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Computer Science Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Worksop from Easter 2025.

This opportunity is open to both experienced educators and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are enthusiastic about preparing students for success in a digital world. If you have a flair for making coding, programming, and IT engaging and accessible, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, engaging Computer Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Prepare students for GCSE exams through effective teaching and assessment strategies.

Develop schemes of work that incorporate both theoretical and practical computing knowledge.

Promote digital literacy, problem-solving, and logical thinking.

Use up-to-date tools, platforms, and resources to enhance learning.

Maintain excellent classroom management and a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to support student progress.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Computer Science or ICT.

Experience teaching Computer Science at Key Stage 3 and 4 (GCSE), or recent PGCE/placement experience for ECTs.

Passion for technology and commitment to staying updated with the evolving digital landscape.

Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

A full 10-year career history with references covering at least the last two years, including your most recent role.
