Rate:��145.77 - �197.36 per day (Umbrella)

A busy government organisation is seeking an�Interim Company Secretariat Assistant�to join its�Corporate Directorate. This is an excellent opportunity for a�trainee company secretary�looking to gain hands-on experience in corporate governance within a�sophisticated, regulated environment.



Role Overview



As a�Company Secretariat Assistant, you will support the�Company Secretariat�and work closely with the�Deputy Company Secretary and Governance Manager�to develop, implement, and improve corporate governance structures and processes.



Key Responsibilities




  • Meeting Organisation:

    • Assist in drafting and issuing agendas.

    • Work with stakeholders to track and follow up on action points.

    • Collate and circulate meeting papers.

    • Communicate meeting decisions across the organisation.



  • Board & Committee Administration:

    • Act as a key contact for administrative matters related to board and committee meetings.



  • Company Secretarial Support:

    • Assist in drafting company-specific filings and publications.

    • Support ad-hoc company secretarial tasks (e.g., director changes, terms of reference updates, powers of attorney).

    • Respond to governance-related queries from the business.





Key Requirements




  • Knowledge & Skills:

    • Understanding of�best practices in corporate governance, particularly within�quasi-governmental or large corporate entities.

    • Familiarity with board portal software (e.g.,�Admincontrol, BoardPad, Board Intelligence).



  • Experience:

    • Working towards or qualified in�ICSA (Chartered Governance Institute).

    • Prior experience in a�regulated business environment.

    • Exposure to corporate governance processes.

    • Experience using board software (ideally�Admincontrol).



  • Personal Attributes:

    • Strong�communication skills, capable of engaging with senior stakeholders.

    • Excellent�planning and organisational abilities, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
