Our client is a well-established construction company based in Cheshire, operating across the UK.
With an experienced team of office-based staff, the company relies on a trusted network of subcontractors to deliver high-quality projects on site.
They are now looking to appoint a proactive and highly organised Commercial Administrator to provide key support across procurement, logistics, and commercial operations.
The Role
This is a hands-on, varied position ideal for someone with excellent coordination skills and a good understanding of the construction supply chain.
Liasing with the Contracts Manager and Quantity Surveyor, you'll help ensure materials, deliveries, and stock are managed efficiently while also supporting with essential commercial administration.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Stock Management
Assist with purchasing materials, PPE, plant and consumables
Monitor and replenish stock in the yard and across sites
Maintain accurate records of materials ordered and used
Help prevent delays by ensuring materials are available when neededDelivery & Yard Coordination
Coordinate deliveries to site and yard
Track incoming items and check delivery notes against purchase orders
Maintain visibility over yard stock and plant movement
Liaise with site teams and subcontractors for smooth logisticsCommercial Admin Support
Support the Contracts Manager and QS with admin and documentation
Maintain accurate records for material usage, contracts, and supplier invoices
Ensure full paper trails are in place and materials are properly accounted for
Assist with reconciliation of orders and delivery paperworkGeneral Administrative Duties
Keep internal records and supplier information up to date
Chase delivery notes, update stock sheets, and ensure systems are accurate
Provide general office admin support to keep everything running smoothlyIdeal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience in an administrative or procurement support role
A basic understanding of construction materials and plant (preferred)
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Good communication skills with the ability to work with suppliers and site teams
Strong IT skills (Excel, Outlook, order systems)
A proactive, reliable and flexible approach to work
