CNC Turner (Setter Operator) No programming involved.
£32-35k per annum + 25% shift allowance.
Working H ours:
Monday Friday (Week 1) 06:00 14:00
Monday Friday (Week 2) 14:00 22:00
Key Responsibilities include:
Ensure safe working environment to the individual and any other person.
Ability to follow the machining process required ensuring components are machined to correct specifications.
Collaborate with other team members, including machinists, engineers, and quality inspectors, to optimize production processes and resolve technical issues.
Escalation of machine malfunctions to initiate corrective actions to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.
Achieve & log daily output targets, identifying the issues and potential solutions that contribute to missed targets.
High attention to detail and Organizational skills.
Self-inspection of finished parts.
General Tasks:
Work in compliance with safety policies.
Setting/operating CNC machines, including lights out running.
Measuring & loading / unloading of tooling.
Change tooling / offsets in accordance with dimensions required.
Follow engineering drawings and work instructions.
Monitor & update daily TPM charts, escalating any issues that cannot be resolved to the appropriate line lead/manager.
Maintain and improve 5s standards in the cell.
Identify and actively be involved in Continuous Improvement activities and events.
Knowledge Required
Proven experience as a CNC Setter/Operator in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Ability to use precision measuring equipment.
Certification from a recognized machining program or apprenticeship.
Ability to read and speak English fluently.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety instructions, standard works and manuals.
