We're looking for Repair Technician to join our Research & Development teams, to be able to repair multiple categories of product at component level.  You’ll work on various projects, including the stabilisation and development of current and new initiatives.  Working to the very highest standards as part of a team you’ll love using your technical knowledge to help all our customers enjoy their amazing technology. 
 

 

Role overview:


As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for:
 

•    Diagnosing component level faults in a range of technology to effect repairs (including notebooks, desktops, mobiles, flat panels and tablets)
•    Performing electronic fault-finding including functionality check on different technology 
•    Repairing products to manufacturer guidelines and making cosmetic repairs and checking internal and external modules on technology 
•    Ascertaining the correct warranty status of a product to eliminate damaged products
•    Continuously assessing and enhancing the performance, security, and scalability of all developed applications
•    Supporting colleagues and other departments/ functions/ repair categories within repairs as and when required
•    Working as part of a team, sharing knowledge and experience to develop own skills and techniques
•    Helping to achieve own and department’s set targets for productivity and quality of work within each functional area to deadlines, including issue resolution and damage reduction
•    Creating a safe working environment, adhering to health and safety policies
 

 
You will need:
•    Proven ability to diagnose faults in technology with the use of schematic diagrams 
•    Proven technical ability in the repair of electronic equipment to competent level for multiple categories
•    Competent in the use of diagnostic and test equipment 
•    Experience in modular recognition
•    Ability to research and develop new ideas and opportunities
•    IPC 7711/7721 accreditation would be desirable
