Clinical Oncology Consultant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Consultant in Clinical Oncology to join our multidisciplinary cancer team at [Insert Hospital or Trust Name] in Derby. Main Duties & Responsibilities:

* Provide expert clinical care in the management of cancer patients, including outpatient consultations, chemotherapy prescribing, and radiotherapy planning.

* Participate in site-specific multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, contributing to treatment planning and collaborative decision-making.

* Deliver high-standard clinical assessments, diagnostics, and treatment strategies for patients with a variety of solid tumors.

* Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, specialty registrars, and allied health professionals.

* Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical governance activities.

* Participate in the on-call rota as required (site-specific).

* Engage in teaching, training, and research as part of the department’s academic commitments
