We are recruiting for a Class 1 Tramper Driver on behalf of our client based in Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a physically fit and reliable driver who enjoys varied work, including the delivery and collection of caravans and motorhomes across the UK — with occasional trips into Europe.
The Role:
Position: Class 1 HGV Tramper Driver
Base Location: Coventry
Salary: £41,600 per annum (paid at £800/week)
Overnight Allowance: £26.20 per night (tax-free expenses)
Fuel: Company fuel card provided
Schedule: Monday–Friday tramping, with nights out in the cab
Work Type: Transporting caravans and motorhomes to and from docks and dealers
Occasional European tripsDuties:
Delivering and collecting caravans and motorhomes safely and securely
Ensuring all loads are correctly secured and comply with transport regulations
Performing daily vehicle checks and completing delivery paperwork
Representing the company professionally on the road and with customers
Nights out in vehicle during the week (with paid allowance)
Occasional cross-border trips into Europe
Requirements:
Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
Current CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
Tramping experience (preferred)
Comfortable with overnight stays in the cab
Physically fit – some manual handling involved
Willingness to do European work throughout the year
Experience handling large/towable loads (advantageous but not essential)
