The Best connection group LTD Group is currently recruiting for Class 1 drivers in the Stoke-on-Trent Area.
Amazing pay rates (inc. of holidays):
Between times 06:00 - 16:00 - £20.01
Between 16:00 - 22:00 - £21.94
Between 22:00 - 06:00 - £24.08
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 HGV Driver to join our team,specialisingin the transportation of timber. If you have a strong work ethic and excellent driving skills, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a Class 1 HGV to transport timber products to various locations
Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and road-worthiness
Secure timber loads using ratchet straps to prevent movement during transit
Comply with all road traffic regulations and company policies
Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork
Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues promptly
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients on delivery sites
Adhere to delivery schedules while maintaining a high level of safety
Requirements:
Valid Class 1 HGV (C+E)licence
Experience usingratchet straps to secure loads though not essential as training can be provided
Up-to-date CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and tachograph card
Strong awareness of health and safety regulations
Excellent driving record with no major infringements
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
