LGV1 Driver required, starting ASAP
Working 4 shifts over 7 on a rotating shift pattern
Start times vary between 10:00 - 16:45 depending on your rota for the week
£17.36 - £29.78 per hour
People Solutions are looking for a Class 1 Driver for our client based in Motherwell.
As a Class 1 Driver you will receive the following benefits:
Potential for a permanent contract with Next Distribution
Know your working rota seven weeks in advance - you will work any four shifts from seven
Weekly Pay
PAYE vacancy - holiday pay is accrued separately to your hourly rate of pay
Site canteen
Great motorway links
When you start you will receive two days training followed by minimum of three shifts buddied up with an experienced driver
Rates of Pay:
Basic: £17.36 per hour
Overtime: £22.57 per hour
Saturday: £26.47 per hour
Sunday: £29.78 per hour
Day to Day Duties
Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:
Delivering to 2 - 3 stores per shift, covering Scotland and North of England
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
Essential Skills
As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:
Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
Held your CE licence for a minimum of two years due to Next Distribution's insurance
No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
Desirable Experience
Experience in a similar role would be beneficial but not essential
Training
Driver's Assessment will have to be completed followed by a two day paid induction
Minimum of three training shifts alongside an experienced Next Distribution driver
