Salary: £55,000-£62000 DOE

R&R Specialist Recruitment is proud to be working on behalf of a respected and well-established care provider to recruit an experienced Children’s Home Manager for a high-quality residential children’s home based in Corby.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Children’s Home Manager with a strong background in managing EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) homes and delivering successful Ofsted outcomes.

Role Summary:

Our client is seeking a capable and compassionate Children’s Home Manager to lead and inspire a dedicated team at a small therapeutic home. You will have full operational responsibility for the home, ensuring exceptional care and outcomes for the children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver outstanding standards of care and ensure the emotional, physical, and developmental needs of each child are met.

*

Provide visionary leadership as the Children’s Home Manager, guiding your team to implement best practices in line with all regulatory and legislative requirements.

*

Oversee daily operations, quality assurance, and the strategic development of the service.

*

Work closely with staff and external professionals to create care plans tailored to individual needs, supporting young people to reach their full potential.

*

Act as a mentor and role model, supporting staff development through supervision, training, and performance management.

*

Take responsibility for safeguarding, compliance, and the overall well-being within the home.

*

Maintain financial oversight, including budgeting and resource planning.

Requirements:

*

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior role within a residential childcare setting.

*

Level 3 or 4 qualification in Children and Young People’s Workforce.

*

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People’s Services), or currently working towards it.

*

Strong understanding of The Children Act 1989, Children’s Home Regulations, and safeguarding procedures.

*

Previous experience as a Children’s Home Manager, or a Deputy Manager ready to take the next step.

*

Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.

*

A full UK driving licence is essential.

*

Willingness to work flexibly and participate in the on-call rota.
