Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Chemistry lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, with the potential to teach at Key Stage 5. The postholder will demonstrate a passion for their subject, the ability to inspire students of all abilities, and a strong commitment to raising achievement and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver consistently high-quality, engaging, and differentiated Chemistry lessons
Plan, prepare, and assess work to meet the diverse needs of learners
Track and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and interventions
Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum and departmental initiatives
Participate in the wider life of the school, including enrichment and extracurricular activities
Person Specification:
Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Degree in Chemistry or a closely related discipline
Proven experience teaching Chemistry at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Excellent subject knowledge and a thorough understanding of the national curriculum
Strong classroom management skills and high expectations for behaviour and academic success
A collaborative and reflective practitioner committed to professional development
