Reporting into Junior Sous Chef

Key Skills
Preparing, cooking and presenting high fresh ingredients.
Able to run a section during service
Assisting with the management of health and safety
Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices
Managing and training any Commis Chefs
Monitoring portion and waste control
People
Ensure effective communication between staff by maintaining a secure and friendly working environment.
Responsible for supervising commis and kitchen porters
Ensure highest levels of quality, operating and food costs on an ongoing basis.
Daily feedback collection and reporting of issues as they arise.
Skill and Technical Requirements
Ability to produce own work in accordance with a deadline and to assist and encourage others in achieving this aim.
Knowledge and skills to run a section in the kitchen
High level of attention to detail
Personal Profile
Good communication skills
Honest and trustworthy in all matters.
Practical and hands on – flexible approach to the business.
The ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
Food Trends
Follow all seasonal, British and catering food trends closely.
Understand and appreciate food seasonality throughout the seasons and the menu impact.
Take an active interest in London food trends, talks, pop-ups, and current food affairs.

Take an active interest in Social Pantry, the progress, market growth and positioning of the company.
Always work ethically and as a team member.
Go above and beyond to always support and help other team members.

SOCIAL PANTRY HQ
You’ll find us at our HQ in Battersea. This is home to our production kitchen, tasting kitchen, tasting
room, and office. It's where our chefs lay their hands on the best seasonal produce and get to work
developing inspiring menus and transforming food waste into food wonders. It's where our office team
put heads together to see clients' dreams become a reality, and where all the planning happens! It's
also where our team share a lot of laughs, celebrate small and big win and enjoy brilliant staff food.
