As a Challenging Behaviour Assistant, you will work one-on-one or in small groups with pupils who display challenging behaviour, helping them engage with learning in a safe, structured environment. Key Responsibilities:
Support children with SEN, including those with behavioural difficulties
De-escalate challenging situations using positive behaviour strategies
Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, and support staff
Maintain a safe and supportive environment for learning
Requirements:
Experience working with children with challenging behaviour (desirable)
Strong interest in SEN, education
Patience, consistency, and strong communication skills
Ability to work well as part of a team in a school setting
Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
