CDM and H&S Advisor

Safety For Group Ltd are looking for advisors, experience in CDM and general health and safety, to join our team. We require health and safety professionals who can provide CDM advice on a wide range of projects, to Clients, Principal Contractors and Contractors to achieve compliance with CDM 2015 but who can also provide advice and support to non-construction customers.

Candidates will be required to work from home and our Head Office in Combermere, Whitchurch, serving projects and customers nationwide. The position would not be suitable for those living further than a reasonable commutable distance from our Head Office in Shropshire.

CDM and H&S Advisor Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include;

* Assisting with the successful management of CDM projects, to ensure projects are compliant;

* Working with the Company’s bespoke CDM and H&S processes and documents;

* Attending project and client meetings;

* Preparation of detailed documents to an appropriate standard;

* Undertaking monitoring site visits and inspections to determine H&S compliance;

* Supporting the Safety For team to meet client needs;

* Providing construction and general health and safety advice and supporting clients in their management of health and safety.

Qualifications & Skills:

* A general knowledge of CDM2015 regulations and associated legislation;

* NEBOSH General and Construction Certificate with post qualification experience;

* Experience in providing training to customers, e.g CPD - work at height, manual handling etc (desirable)

* Construction industry experience;

* Registered Member of Association of Project Safety (IMaPS or CMaPS) desirable;

* Membership (Technical) of IOSH desirable;

* Valid UK driving licence;

* Good standard of IT skills, inc. MS Office Suite are required.

* Self-motivation and ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high quality services on a range of projects and client environments;

* Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously;

* A positive approach to adaptations of project/Clients’ requirements.

Salary: Circa £35 – £39k, dependant on experience and qualifications + travel expenses Probationary period: 6 months
