Caretaker

CER Education are working with a thriving and oversubscribed Secondary School in the Runcorn area and are looking to appoint a CARE TAKER to work on a full time basis.

This role is to start as soon as possible and will continue for the full academic year ON A TEMP TO PERM basis for the right candidate.

Working hours are to be discussed at interview. Due to the nature of the role, start time would be at 7 am - 2PM as you would be expected to open up the school, and be on site during the working day.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Hold a CLEAN Enhanced DBS, or be in a position to apply for one ( CER can help with this )

Provide 2 professional references.

Hold a clean driving licence

Responsibilities include:

• Cleaning the building
• Key holder
• Opening up of the building in the morning before staff and pupils arrive
• Gardening and performing landscape duties or supervising others in these roles
• Inspecting the building, including heating, cooling, lighting and alarm systems to make sure they are in good working order
• Performing basic repairs and maintenance tasks as required
• Sourcing, booking and supervising contractors for major repairs
• Monitoring cleaning materials, tools, and furniture and reordering as required
• Managing bookings for any buildings or rooms available for hire
• Opening building at the start of the day and locking all doors and windows when not in operation
• The school is within a 10 minute walk of the nearest train station and has onsite parking.
