CAD DESIGNER

FULL TRAINING PROVIDED

Our client is an international organisation involved in the design and manufacture of structural elements for the building and construction sector and they currently hold 2 vacancies as CAD Designer.

They offer full training, mentoring and support in order for you to undertake the following duties:

• Progression of client orders from technical enquiries through to delivery


• Correspondence with client to request information, communicate problems or notify them of key events.


• Maintain the project file and quality documentation to a high standard


• Ensure all necessary calculations are carried out.


• Ensure all necessary drawings are produced (AutoCAD, Tekla) and that designs are illustrated to a good standard.


• Issue designs and drawings for approval, co-ordinating approvals and client instructions to manufacture.


• Prepare clear and accurate manufacturing drawings and schedules for order processing.


• Provide information to client as necessary.


• Liaise closely with Team Manager and Project Manager at all times ensuring information regarding projects is communicated.

Essential Skills Required:

• Qualifications in any of the following: Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Technology, Construction & Built Environment.


• Ideally possess some experience in producing CAD drawings in any of the following: Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Building & Construction, Structural Steelwork, Architectural Metalwork.


• Proficiency in AutoCAD


• Construction knowledge


• Computer literate


• Microsoft Windows


• Good telephone manner
