Cache Developer – 3 Month Contract – Hybrid – Cardiff – Inside IR35
VIQU have partnered with a leading organisation in the public sector to recruit for a Cache Developer for an initial 3-month contract.
The role:
The successful Cache Developer will support on the delivery of a number of regulatory-driven updates to a legacy information management system.
Our client is currently migrating to a new system, however there are 8 specific changes required on the existing system to ensure ongoing compliance and best practice in the interim.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and deliver defined system changes based on existing blueprints/specifications
Implement caching solutions that improve performance without compromising regulatory compliance
Work independently while collaborating with technical and compliance stakeholders as and when required
Ensure updates meet relevant system regulations and standards
Key skills & experience:
Strong hands-on experience with caching technologies (e.g., Redis, Memcached, Varnish)
Proficient in backend programming (e.g., Python, Node.js, Java, or similar)
Proven ability to work from specifications/blueprints
Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements / frameworks in clinical or healthcare systems would be an added bonus

Length: 3-month initial contract
IR35: Inside IR35
Rate: £400 - £510 per day
Location: Hybrid, Cardiff
