As a consistently growing global business we are keen to add talent and resource to our UK team. The UK business is a technical product distributor partnering with a wide variety of OEMS. Covering the Midlands, as our Business Development Manager, you'll enjoy new business and account management alongside having the experience of selling industrial tapes to OEMs.
 
BASIC SALARY: £50,000 - £55,000
 
BENEFITS:
· Bonus, commission c£10,000 in year one - realistic and uncapped.
· Car Allowance plus mileage.
· Pension Scheme
· Death in Service x3 annual salary.
 
LOCATION: Birmingham
 
COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Based from home you'll travel throughout the Midlands, you could live, Northampton, Leicester, Milton Keynes, Oxford, Peterborough, Derby or Nottingham

Having acquired a new business (predominately with a northern bias) we are looking to add additional resource and talent to work with customers across the Midlands. You will take on a relatively new territory with lots of potential and existing clients, you'll have the opportunity to drive the area forward putting your own 'stamp' on it without any legacy challenges.
 
JOB DESCRIPTION: Business Development Manager, Technical Area Sales Manager - Industrial Tapes to OEMs
 
Working closely with the Sales Director, the Business Development Manager role is a mix of new business, existing account development and winning new projects from existing customers.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Business Development Manager, Technical Area Sales Manager - Industrial Tapes to OEMs
 
· Manage your territory (Midlands - Nottingham - Luton), visiting new and existing clients. (50/50)
· Achieving a target of £1m (currently c£750,000 with existing clients).
· Selling "technical solutions" and "problem solving" for clients, not commodity selling.
· Gaining specification on projects supplying general industrial, aerospace and defence manufacturers and first tier suppliers with a wide range of technical industrial tapes with applications "from launch to landing".
· Work closely with the Marketing Manager to generate content, interest and leads
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Manager - Industrial Tapes to OEMs.
 
To be successful in your application you really must have a proven track record of selling industrial adhesive tapes into OEMs.
 
That said, we could consider candidates who have sold other technically bias products, chemicals, adhesives, resins, via trials and specification to OEMS.
 
In addition, you'll need to have the tenacity to get in front of decision makers and grow a market, as well as good communication and influencing skills, and be able to build relationships as project lead times can be long.
