2 days, after successful completion of your probationary period.
Our client specialises in B2B meat and poultry trading, buying products from within the UK and Europe and supplying to UK manufacturers and wholesalers.
What we need from you as a Business Development Manager:
3 years minimum B2B experience, working either in business development or sales -
industry knowledge
ideally
food/meat sector, or someone from a background in FMCG
Good computer skills, including Google Sheets/Excel & Word
Experience attending face-to-face meetings, cold/warm calling or emailing customers
Be able to manage your own time effectively, using your own initiative
Open to learning, developing, and growing with the business
Have a personal internal, emotional desire to succeed
Able to work within our core values set out fromthe beginningof employment
Good team player
Excellent communication skills
Driving Licence
Desirable but not essential:
Familiar with Apple products iPhone/iMacs
What the role involves:
You will be directly involved with building existing accounts and finding new clients from a list of potential prospects to build your client base and maintaining great relationships to fulfil their requirements on-going, whilst ensuring sufficient margins are met.
Duties include:
Managing existing customer and accounts to maintain the relationship
Opening new customer accounts and building new relationships
Using the telephone/email/Zoom for any client management
Daily negotiations on sales and occasional purchases
Email marketing campaigns
Occasionally liaising with hauliers to book and manage transport jobs throughout the UK and Europe
Using a CRM software daily to manage the sales cycle, set tasks, log all contact leads and communications
Attending trade shows, visiting clients/suppliers occasionally with overnight stays
Liaising with accounts department to set up customers & suppliers, keeping accounts up to date with everything and sending across orders
Salary/Hours:
£30,000K basic, plus commission OTE £40K - £63K. Monday to Friday with the option to work 8.30am
4.30pm or 9am
5pm. No weekend working.
