Business Development Manager

Are you a driven sales professional looking for an exciting new role with a fantastic company? Look no further!

We are currently recruiting for a BDM selling high-quality interior products into high end developers across the UK. As part of this role, you will be responsible for securing large commercial projects and managing them through to fruition.

To determine and implement a national sales strategy which introduces new products to the UK Apartment Living sector to deliver sales growth, profitability, and business development within this area.

To develop new business with inner-city High-rise developers, SME developers, Housing Associations and Retirement Living providers whilst managing existing clients and projects to ensure service levels are maintained and relationships are strengthened.

1. Identify and develop channels and routes to market where the company has a viable residential market opportunity, including the introduction and sale of appropriate new products; create a sales plan to target these opportunities, working with the Apartment Living Sales Manager to Develop and implement a strategy to grow Apartment Living business nationally as stated above by understanding routes to the consumer and identifying gaps in the portfolio, ensuring consistency of approach with the Head of Apartment Living Sales and the sharing of best practice.

2. Prepare sales forecasts for the introduction of new products to the residential business and the development of the New Build sector as stated above and monitor performance against them, evaluating results and making recommendations for future development.

3. Manage the Average Selling Price (ASP) of all new product sales through the residential business by exerting control over pricing to ensure an appropriate margin.

4. Carry out senior negotiations relating to new contracts and agreements arising from the introduction of new products creating relationships at a corporate level and present to key strategic customers.

5. Develop a network of contacts throughout the Apartment Living sectors to establish market size, product requirements, price expectations and technical/environmental requirements.

6. Identify any product requirements needed and put these forward through the New Product Development process.

7. Engage the with key contacts, developing relationships with major building companies, supply chain agreements and relationships with key flooring contractors.

8. Working to agreed KPI’s and maintaining professionalism and diligence.

9. Working closely to the business plan and ensuring knowledge of the products, processes, channels, and routes to market are understood.

10. Effective use of CRM (SalesForce) ensuring all agreed corporate measures are met.
