The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and commissioning of intelligent building technology, from design through to testing and on-site delivery.

Working closely with design engineers, software developers, and commissioning teams, the Building Technology Engineer will assist in developing system architecture, programming logic (FBD/LUA), FAT testing and live commissioning activities. The role will be based in London, with occasional travel to offsite facilities and project locations (including a factory and workshop).

Key Responsibilities:

*

Support the design and development of Building Automation & Controls Systems (BACS)

*

Assist with BACS programming, system architecture, and preparation of drawings and documentation

*

Liaise with suppliers, installers, and project managers to ensure efficient and timely delivery

*

Carry out Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), commissioning and calibration checks

*

Train contractors and end-users on the use of smart building systems

*

Maintain and troubleshoot existing installations

*

Ensure installations meet all relevant British, BSRIA and CIBSE standards

Ideal Candidate:

*

Degree in Building Services, Building Technology or Automation (Essential)

*

5+ years experience with KNX using ETS software (Essential)

*

Working knowledge of ModBus, BACnet, DALI, and similar protocols

*

Experience in both office-based design and site/factory-based delivery

*

Familiarity with AutoCAD (Essential), and preferably REVIT, Bluebeam or ACC

*

UK or EU driving licence (Essential)

*

Security clearance (Essential or able to obtain)

Skills & Attributes:

*

Excellent organisational and communication skills

*

Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail

*

A proactive, can-do attitude with a desire to innovate

*

Able to work independently and manage sensitive project data

*

Passionate about building technology, sustainability, and intelligent design
